Website will go offline for a while with a static page while updates and overhauls are performed.

Going to be updating to the newest version of Lifetype, going to disable registration of blog hosting, and am going to focus the site and use it, expect some changes shortly.

It's going well, almost finished, and I figured so much i'm doing with it.

The blog is having many different topics about everything. It's having custom headers depending on which catagory i choose, so if I do a post about WoW, it will show a custom wow header for that post, and if I do a post about politics, it'll show a politics header, same with love life stuff, or work stuff, basic gaming stuff, it's going to be quite different.

Will it be revolutionary, no, but I'm going to keep it in line with using Lifetype for it all, which is quite nice, hoping the next release comes out sooner or later, or I may stick with what i'm using now, not sure, but the design has to come first.

After much change of pace for the personal blog/portfolio, i'm come across some issues with changing things around and keeping it fresh compared to what I usuallt do.

I've seen some great work going on at deviantart in designs and interfaces and it makes me sad... i'm trying to expand everything I can, work with new things.

This brings me to Photoshop CS3, I finally got around to upgrading from photoshop 7.  It's taken me a long time to save up the money for it.

I also have been messing around a bit with what has been going on with the mega package they have out for it.  I don't own it, but we got it for work, so i've been messing with it here and there for work purposes.  I may upgrade myself later and get the whole designer package or whatever.

Ok, so with my current job quite intact, i'm going to get into the design business for websites.  With the portfolio page things going a little slow, i'm moving things ahead.  I'm going around where i live trying to get businesses without websites to at least try and get a domain.  There's hosting everywhere for anyone on any price range.  Heck, my hosting here is only $15 a YEAR!  I've also found some other hosting places that are like $60 a year, $5 a month, that have a MUCH better space and package options, but you know, that's not quite in my budget unless I drop WoW.  But that's another story.

I will sooner or later have a bigger portfolio to show off once the site is done, but that all depends on when that'll be finished.

I'm doing quite well so far with getting the personal blog built, having some design thoughts about it.  Not going with the random page generation currently.

Also, redesigning my portfolio page, not sure if i'm going to incorporate them together or not.  Thinking on doing a combo with them, but each section have a different color scheme and picture,, yet keeping with the same layout.  I like the current creations layout I did, so i'm slicking with that concept but expanding on it, making it more dynamic and maliable.

Something I may exploit... in other words, since i'm not on a ton, I'm writing multiple blogs about random stuff ahead of time and post publishing them, can come in handy, especially if I want something new each day if I get things done ahead of schedule, I can post it now while i'm on, and not have it seen for a while.

I'm guessing this is how lfgcomic and other places do things, they are a couple weeks ahead, and just do their posts/updates ahead of time not to be shown until the specific date, makes them look ahead of the ball.

I've been out of it for a while, haven't been here, don't think anyone else does yet currently.  This is a project i just haven't had a lot of extra time to work on.

I have a bunch of designs in my head for many things, blog templates, work sites, my sites.  Who knows.

This page is going to be from now on my work blog for this site, not a personal one.  I will be designing a personal one hopefully within the year.  I have thoughts and ideas, and I may turn it into a random layout chooser everytime you click a link for it, not sure.  I might even go into flash.  Let's not get my hopes up.

Also, all layouts from now on will be designed for 1024x768 if anyone is interested, i'm tired of constraining myself to 800x600 layouts, so I shall move.

Yep, everything is live.  I have to change some things around a little bit, but it's available for you if you wish to signup.  I don't think many people will though.  Who knows.  I still have some other work to do.  Some of the templates have small errors, let me know if there is a problem.

Currently the summary is about 50% complete.  I have to change some thins around to make it work with IE6, because IE6 doesn't support transparent pngs, so i'm going to have to go another route.  As for registration being open, it's not.  As for many things looking wierd, so be it, i'm working on it, but i have a day job and need sleep.  I'm going to keep it there how it currently is broken, but it's a working model.

 Lifetype 1.2.1 came out, but i'm waiting for a file to upgrade to it.  Shouldn't change anything though.

 Once the summary is done, i'm going to work on the admin template header file and change the graphic.

Ok, so the summary isn't done yet, but i've been working on some other projects.  Been trying to get some basic div layer templates going.  I don't have the artwork done, but i'm trying to get the div coding, stylesheets, ands and pages done.  Then just replacing the stylesheets with different color schemes and header graphic.  This way I can get a bunch of templates done much quicker just by changing the stylesheet of 3 different settings.  Going to be interesting.

Well, time for me to get back to work. 

So, I'm almost done with the updated design for the summary page.  It's going to look very similar to the current layout for this page since it's all connected.  The design is almost done, so once that is done, I still need to do all the coding and make it xhtml transitional.  Plus the tour pages, registration process, and a few other little things.  I may do a float top transparancies for a link back to the summary on templates, but have an option to hide the top bar if people want, but not quite sure.

Google ads may be appearing on some of the custom templates.  I will be able to offer specific blogs a template with the google ads removed for a fee, not sure yet.  Then again, some may never have the google ads removed, and some of course will be offered without the ads.

I currently changed this template you are seeing to a div layers from tables.  I still get some errors when validating as xhtml transitional, but it's due to the javascript currently, not gonna fix it though.

 I am however making new templates with images i've found online at deviantart and have gotten permission to use.  Will be making those completely working and have have them xhtml transitional completely and have everything look nice and available.  This of course will happen once i convert the summary template over.

Once the summary template is finished, blog hosting will be open to everyone. This should happen by the end of the month.

Since i was the only user, i didn't change custom directoies around and kept the old way of sorting blogs.  Currently i'm getting it up so it will be http://www.rpage.net/blog/username and it should be easier to find where people are.

I will NOT be doing subdomains, just so people are clear, some people may be bummed out, but that's how it's going to be for now.
